Konjac sponges are made from the dried root of the konnyaku plant (a taro-like potato), which grows at high altitude and originates from Asia. When you receive your konjac sponge it is dry, hard and even slightly rough to the touch, however when you soak it in water it transforms into a super soft, almost rubbery, natural sponge.
 
Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, the konjac sponge is also naturally alkaline and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. And if you suffer from rosacea, the sponge can help reduce redness without irritating your skin.
 
You can use the sponge with just water or in conjunction with soap or cleanser for an even deeper clean. Great for gently exfoliating and removing make-up, this sponge is completely plastic free and entirely biodegradable. 
 
Available in two options:
Green: infused with green tea, suitable for all skin types but ideal for oily or acne prone skin
Grey: infused with activated charcoal, great for deep cleansing and removing toxins from your skin

How to use your konjac sponge
Konjac sponges are incredibly easy to use, simply soak the sponge in warm water for a few minutes and squeeze it gently, until the sponge becomes soft.

You can then use the sponge just as it is, or lather it up with your favourite soap or cleanser and use it to clean your face thoroughly. Rinse your face with clean water afterwards.

Caring for your konjac sponge
After each use, rinse the sponge thoroughly to remove any dirt and soap. Squeeze out any excess water, but don’t ‘wring out’ the sponge.
 
Allow the konjac sponge to air dry between uses. It comes threaded with a simple string loop to make it easy to hang it up to dry. To extend its life, don’t store the sponge in a moisture rich environment – and definitely don’t leave it in the shower!
 
Don’t use the konjac sponge with mineral salts or detergents containing enzymes.
