Don't wrap your lovely fresh loaf in sweaty plastic, or leave it to go stale in a paper bag - instead use this extra large beeswax wrap to protect it. Wrapping your loaf in the very generously sized bread wrap will keep it fresh, preventing it from drying out whilst the natural properties of beeswax will reduce the risk of mould. 
 
(If fresh from the bakery, do make sure that the bread has fully cooled before using the beeswax wrap, otherwise the warmth may melt the wax.)
 
Measuring 50cm x 45cm, the XXL bread wrap is perfect for most loaf sizes, from floury bloomer to artisan sourdough, but is equally suitable for covering large party platters or very big bowls.

Care and disposal
If properly cared for, a beeswax wrap can be reused for up to a year before needing to be refreshed with a little more beeswax. (See our beeswax refresher bars.) When you no longer need the beeswax wrap you can just cut it up and add it to your compost bin, or cut it into strips and use as a firelighter.
 
General cautions
Beeswax wraps are not suitable for covering hot food (it'll melt the wax), nor for using with raw meat or fish. Avoid beeswax wraps if you suffer from any nut allergies.
